Angele Alook

Angele Alook is a full time researcher for the Alberta Union of Provincial Employees and an Adjunct Professor in the Department of Public Health at Concordia University of Edmonton.  She recently successfully defended her PhD in Sociology from York University. Her dissertation is entitled "Indigenous Life Courses: Racialized Gendered Life Scripts and Cultural Identities of Resistance and Resilience". 

Angele is a member of Bigstone Cree Nation and a fluent speaker of the Cree language.
