Research Interests: Climate change, neoliberal globalization, environmental justice, social movement, subaltern resistance, agrarian change, food sovereignty, and microcredit.

Dr. Manoj Misra is Assistant Professor of Sustainable Development at Hankuk University of Foreign Studies. He teaches courses on sustainable development, democracy and the environment, ecological citizenship, and globalization and the food system. Dr. Misra's articles have appeared in the Journal of Agrarian Change and Climate and Development. He was invited as a research fellow at the Heidelberg University’s Cluster of Excellence on Agrarian Alternatives. Dr. Manoj is currently conducting research on coal power development in Bangladesh’s coastal areas, its socio-ecological impacts and resistance movements against coal.
